Abraham's Wedding

Yikes! I'm behind! Abraham was married about two weeks ago!
I snuck a quick picture with him at the reception. I like that guy!
They had some dancing at the reception. It was at the Chappell's house. They sure fit a lot of people in there! I loved this picture of Chrissy dancing with her walker. I'm glad she had fun.
This is a terrible picture of Abraham and Stacia leaving. I guess I wasn't in the picture taking mood that night! Best wishes to Abraham!

Pregnant Allie

One my old roommates and dearest friends, Allie, is pregnant. She and Brett were married almost a year and half ago in Salt Lake.
She's due at the end of the this month, I believe. I finally talked her into sending a pregnant picture of herself and I just had to share it because she's so stinkin' cute! Congrats to Allie - send more pictures! :)

CUTE!

I loved this forward from Richard.

Happy Mother's Day

I just love my mom! I don't think I've posted this before, but it's an old favorite. For those of you who haven't seen it, please enjoy! I can't get enough of Mr. T!

Alligators

A couple of us went camping with Nate and his kids this weekend up in Huntsville.
When I got home, I realized that I hadn't taken many pictures, but I'll share a few that I did take. I thought this one of Lexi was super cute. The kids found a snail that morning and had a lot of fun with it. . . too much fun. I'm sorry to say that the snail is no longer living.
This is one of the many pictures Jackson had me take of him. I can't remember what he was doing in this picture, but it was a cute one!
This girl Bonnie, from another campsite, came over for awhile on Saturday morning and kept the kids entertained. We referred to her as Bonnie the Explorer. I believe she was the cause of the snail's demise, unintentionally, I'm sure.
That morning we also went up to the nature center for an alligator presentation I actually learned a lot! There are at least 50 adult alligators (adult meaning 6 feet or longer) in the Huntsville State Park where we were camping. We all got to pet this little alligator they had there. The guy's name that's holding the alligator was "Pick." I thought it was perfect.
Later on, we rented some canoes and went around the lake. We heard some other canoers in the area saying they'd seen something so we paddled on over. Not long after that, we saw a giant head come out of the water. It was HUGE! The head was at least 2 feet long if not longer. We waited around and had 3 more alligator sightings. One was a little smaller, but the other 2 were either the same as the first big one we saw or another huge one. I didn't have my camera with me so I found this picture on the Internet. This is what we saw on the last two gators. The whole head and back were out as it was swimming down the lake. The ones we saw were bigger than the one in this picture, though! Yikes. It was really cool!

Chicks

Our district science people gave us the option of having some fertilized chicken eggs in our classrooms this year so we could watch as they hatched.
Janelle kept them in her room and the kids (and teachers) have all loved visiting her room to check out what's been happening with the eggs.
This week they hatched. It was pretty cool. I got this in the morning of the day they all hatched. This one was out quite a while before the others started following. We could actually hear it peep while it was still in the shell the previous day.
Not too long after that, they were all out and peeping away. They're pretty cute.
We had to move them from the incubator into a bigger box, but no one was sure how to touch them. Since we had chickens all growing up, I was happy to assist. The teachers all loved holding them after that.

I took this video of them in their new little box. They're a lot of fun to watch. We'll get to observe them for most of the coming week before our district elementary science coordinator takes them along with over a hundred more from other schools out to a farm in the country. That should be a fun and deafening trip!

Random Pictures

I've had these two pictures for awhile, but haven't done anything with them yet, so I thought I'd just do a little random post.
This first one is an AWESOME picture of my dad's parents taken when they were quite young. I had never seen it before, but my cousin Delisa sent it around to the cousins via email. Thanks, Delisa!
No, I didn't grow this, but that is one HUGE strawberry. I made strawberry shortcake for a birthday party for one of the teachers at school, and when I got to the bottom of the plastic strawberry container, I found this monster. I was pretty impressed with its size!
There's my randomness for the day!
