Pottery

Last weekend (not two days ago - the one before that) was Kim's birthday.
Becca threw her a birthday party at this pottery place, which I thought was a great idea. They have all these pre-made pottery items that you pick out, paint, and purchase. They glaze and fire them for you and you pick them up a week later.
We ended up with quite a big group there and people made some pretty interesting items. It was so much fun.
Afterward, we had some cupcakes out in the parking lot. They were ridiculously good. These were chocolate all the way with an Andes mint on top.
They had several other kinds as well.
We went out for Mexican food right after that. Fun times. Happy Birthday, Kim!
I picked my pie plate up on Saturday since I was out in that neck of the woods again. and here's what it looks like. I'm going to add some more details, but I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.
Completely unrelated (and for some, unknown reason sideways) was something I did today. Several years ago, a good friend of mine taught Susannah, Jen and me how to make our own mineral foundation and powder. I thought it was pretty cool so I thought I'd get a picture while I was making some more today.

Ooo, very cool on the foundation and your plate turned out great! I just dropped mine off the other day so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it looks decent. :)
